On Friday 5th April we are honoured to welcome da Googie AKA Deb Googe! Best known as the bass player with My Bloody Valentine, Deb Googe will showcase her superb solo project: stark on stage, playing a six string bass and welding it to electronic drum patterns and found sounds through a looper, in a perfectly executed adventure into sound…

Deb Googe will be joined by Too Many Things in support of their spilt 12”. The record will be produced as a short run of 250 copies, which will be signed and numbered and initially sold exclusively at the gigs!

“The songs vary from mesmerising drone pieces to a captivating cascade of arpreggios hooking around the neo industrial drum patterns that create a platform for her bass creativity”Louder than Sound on Da Googie

da Googie aka Deb Googe – bass player with My Bloody Valentine, Thurston Moore Group and Brix Smith, will be touring under the moniker ‘da Googie’. The solo performance will be a presentation of  her first solo recordings (release date early November). Taking a bass IV, a looper and a pile of FX pedals, Deb Googe / da Googie blends traditional basslines with more abstract noises to make intricate, layered soundscapes.

Too Many Things are duo Marion Andrau (The Wharves/Underground Railroad/Throw Down Bones) & Jem Doulton (Thurston Moore Group/The Oscillation). Marion & Jem play each other’s songs best described as gloomy noise, politico-romantic psych; expect well oiled electronics, guitar, keys and vocals leading you to an underworld reminiscent of the red room of Twin Peaks.
