Large Plants is the post-apocalyptic downer-fuzz-rock side project of Jack Sharp, singer guitarist from psych-folk luminaries Wolf People. They perform a headline set at RMH on Saturday February 11th, with support from Green Diesel.

“Boasts fuzzy, dirty hooks, hints of the baroque and shades of Canterbury psych”We Are Cult

Suddenly without a band and faced with the enforced lockdown of Summer 2020, Jack Sharp set up in a friends’ old barn in Bedfordshire and created a tonne of scuzzy, loner, biker-rock. The sound of Large Plants is a shaking invocation of post civilisation dread. An end of the world doom-folk party imbued with the rich vein of bucolic sorrow that Sharp’s vocal never fails to convey.

Hailing from Faversham in Kent, folk-rock band Green Diesel first emerged in 2009 and take their inspiration from the depths of English folk lore and legend and the classic folk rock sound of their predecessors Fairport Convention and The Albion Band. Blending violin, mandolin, dulcimer and accordion with electric guitars and drums, Green Diesel’s sound is born from a love of traditional English music and a desire to bring it to a modern audience.
