After five long years we’re stoked to welcome back inventor, musician and all-round genius LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER to RMH on Saturday 23rd March!

LMNC, known formally as Sam Battle, builds his own synths and musical machines which he plays at his live shows and on his genre defying records, and has a loyal following amongst the worldwide synth community.

“I just love catchy songs. So I let the machines be the weird, and the music can speak for itself…”LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER has been building his following since 2017 when he began uploading videos to YouTube, in 2018 he released his first proper EP. Having played sold out shows across the UK and Europe and picked up support from BBC Radio 1 & 6 Music he continues to tour and release music alongside writing and producing for other artists and sharing content on his YouTube channel.

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER’s YouTube channel now has over 550,000 subscribers and shows a real insight into the genius that Sam Battle is; be it building the musical Gameboy Mega Machine, an organ from 90’s toy furbies or conducting an orchestra of 97 Lego Star Wars Droids to perform the film’s theme song, he is constantly working on creative musical projects.

“Fans seem to love Battle’s on-stage banter, which frequently veers into slapstick-theater comedy, and the unpredictability of his set. For them, it’s all entertainment — a musical-comedic hybrid similar to Flight of the Conchords and The Lonely Island”Engadget

“Banging synthpop to stick a pixelly middle finger up at the music industry rat race and, by extension, society in general. Come for the Furbies and stay for killer tracks like Modern Gas and Groundhog Day”Beursschouwburg
