A beautiful tribute to Stevie Wonder: featuring Sabina Desir and Jessica Lauren‘s brilliant band.
“He really was touched by the hand of God. I cannot explain his talent. It’s totally inexplicable. I don’t know where it came from or why he does it but he does. But I do know this: that his music changed my world and I think changed the world in general in a positive way…” – Robert Margouleff
With DJ Hooch on the decks throughout the evening!
Between 1972 and 1974, just two short years, Stevie Wonder released four brilliant and groundbreaking albums: Music Of My Mind, Talking Book, Innervisions and Fulfillingness’ First Finale.
After 10 years becoming increasingly frustrated at Motown Records having little or no creative involvement in his own work, he was finally freed from his contract on his 21st birthday and arrived on the doorstep of synthesiser pioneers Robert Margouleff and Malcolm Cecil. A magical collaboration was formed.
Stevie Wonder’s music has been a huge part of Sabina Desir’s and Jessica Lauren’s world since their childhoods and it is with great pleasure and pride that they have put together a special quartet to pay tribute to this glorious phase in Stevie Wonder’s life with their own interpretations of songs drawn from these four classic masterpieces.
