Without question one of the finest bands working today. After an exceptional show in 2015, we are delighted to welcome back Beak> on November 29th. This will be yet another night to cherish.

Beak>‘s latest record ‘>>>” was one of the best of 2018, and perhaps their greatest work so far. A dystopian soundtrack comprised of delightful psychedelic krautrock tunes. It’s absolutely mint, basically.

“A rare, resilient triumph”Loud and Quiet (10/10 review)

The Bristol-based trio, led by drummer Geoff Barrow of Portishead, make music like a head trip in a sensory deprivation chamber: dark, watery, somehow cramped and spacious at once, with very few distractions competing for your attention. Their compositions—generally consisting only of bass, drums, voice, and drippy analog synth—are more like extended grooves than songs per se.

Make no mistake, Beak> is no side project. Geoff Barrow, Will Young and Billy Fuller have emerged as a fully-fledged band. They are making some of the most compelling music of the 21st century. It’s hard to pin Beak> down as anything other than themselves, and more power to them.

“That Beak> have rendered a record this turbulent and frequently dour as such a captivating and emotionally resonant experience is a feat in itself”Loud and Quiet

“Their use of vintage sounds but their forward thinking compositions make them sound like the future and the past at the same time. Nailing them down to one genre is impossible and their uniqueness is quite welcome in an age of increasing compartmentalisation of bands”Echoes and Dust
