The most exciting band to come out of the UK since IDLES…
FEET are a fantastic indie garage rock outfit from Coventry, who incorporate elements of The Strokes, The Smiths and The Sex Pistols. Their debut record ‘What’s Inside is More than Just Ham’ is due for release this October, mixed by the legendary Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails, Interpol, QOTSA).
These young men are on to seriously great things. It’s refreshing to feel this excited about an up-and-coming UK band again. Catch them in our small town of Ramsgate on October 25th…
“Wonky Britpop for a new generation” – NME
Formed on the 30th of January 2016, FEET was really a distraction for its members from their endless bowls of pasta and lonely nights due to their poor game. The band then quickly projected from a boozy side project, to a realistic excuse to discuss dropping out of uni. With a European tour under the belt, seeing the likes of Luxembourg in all its glory, as well as a stop over to France. FEET are now back in the great Ol White, Red and Blue, looking to spread the love and Party or Die with Briton’s finest youths. With a small tour in some big cities, FEET are looking to get the ball rolling and make it out of Coventry’s Uni campus.
Experimentation was integral to the process for FEET. From singing about the unpredictability of the humble hot dog (which is where the new album title stems from), to stepping out of their comfort zone & relinquishing traditional song structures:
“Going into a first album, you don’t have any prior intentions, you just pack the car with cathartic autobiographies, some Carling, and if you’ve not been dropped by your management after a month, you’ve had a result” said FEET. “Without any real sense of direction of scope, the album became really a reflection of the 8 or 9 months we spent moving from place to place writing the fucker. You doss about with each other for the majority of a year, something’s bound to happen, something to write about, and fortunately it did. And that’s the album. But that doesn’t sound very cool. It’s about drugs”.
