Garage rock Godfather Jim Jones brings his latest project to Ramsgate on Sunday 10th November!
A Jim Jones All Stars show is one of the most fiery and ferocious events you’ll experience. Jim has floored us with plenty of gigs before, and his latest outfit is bigger and noisier than ever!

A bubbling swamp curse of unholy ass shake, Jim Jones All Stars is the latest project from garage godfather Jim Jones (Thee Hypnotics, The Jim Jones Revue). Formed during the pandemic, it features The Jim Jones Revue members Gavin Jay and Elliot Mortimer, drummer Chris Ellul (The Heavy), veteran punk blues guitarist Carlton Mounsher (The Swamps), and a full horn section.
After a midnight offering at the real crossroads in Clarksdale, Mississippi, the band made the pilgrimage to Memphis, Tennessee to record with Memphis Magnetic founder Scott McEwen (Elvis Costello, JD McPherson, Nick Waterhouse, Nicole Atkins) in May of 2022.
‘It’s Your Voodoo Working’ (a Charles Sheffield cover) featuring Nikki Hill on guest vocals, and Mike Gabriel (The Sermon) on theremin was the first single from the album ‘Ain’t No Peril’ recorded there.
Followed by gunfighter ballad ‘And Your Arms Will Be the Heavens’ (which features Jim Jones and the Righteous Mind’s Mal Troon on pedal steel, and Solomon Arye Rosenschein on guitar) and a live Maida Vale session on BBC Radio 6. The band plan to release two more singles on Ako-Lite Records before hitting the road for a tour in May/June 2023.
