30th August 2021 7:30 pm - 11:30 pm Ramsgate Music Hall - CT11 8NJ

A special evening with Josh Flowers and Julianna Zachariou.

Two unique solo sets, followed by a performance of joint material as Echobaby.

Echobaby is a transatlantic collaboration between songwriters Julianna Zachariou (US) and Josh Flowers (UK). They met in 2018 while working on a theatre show in New York City and have been writing together remotely and then reuniting to record the outcomes ever since. The results are bitter-sweet songs about people trying to overcome distances to connect. Their first ever co-write ‘Subway Song’ has had over two million streams on Spotify (Released by Julianna) and their Christmas song ‘Christmas Dinner’ was played by Huw Stephens on Radio 1.

Josh Flowers is a songwriter and musical collaborator living at the British seaside in Ramsgate. His debut album Mellow Drama was written and recorded in 2020 and will be released early summer of 2021. As a writer he’s fascinated by the strangeness of people and the beauty of everyday things, with songs that blend humour with melancholy, and the surreal with the mundane.

Julianna Zachariou’s work ranges from gritty and exposed to smooth and whimsy, embracing the contrast and cohesion of these two worlds of feeling. Among this changing spectrum, however, remains a voice that is vulnerable and intent on deep diving for the truth and the girth and the stuff we all need to say.
