We are absolutely thrilled to welcome back Lætitia Sadier for a special solo show on October 20th.
A founding member and the voice of Stereolab, who performed two historic shows at RMH in 2019. Those nights live long in the memory, and we are overjoyed for Sadier’s return.
A beautiful evening awaits us…
Best known as the lead vocalist for Stereolab, Laetitia Sadier has been performing as a solo artist since 2003, first under the name Monade. 3 long players were released under that name ‘Socialism ou Barbarie’ (1998), ‘A few Steps More’ (2005) and ‘Monstre Cosmic’ (2008). She subsequently released four acclaimed albums under her own name, Laetitia Sadier. Her latest album, Find Me Finding You, is credited to Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble. An iconic figure in contemporary music, Laetitia’s musical conception fuses French pop, indie rock and film scores, with her hypnotic vocals and humanist/political lyrics foregrounding the assembly with an immaculate, righteous serenity.
“A rich collection of torch songs and subtle, meandering melodies that clear away the distracting frenzy and Byzantine flourishes of her past groups to expose the humane beauty of her voice” – Pitchfork
“Sadier feels like a musician reawakened” – Loud and Quiet
“Laetitia and her producers have resisted the temptation to process and filter every sound, to cut and paste and layer just because they can. Each song goes directly about its business, unhurried, purposeful, and perfectly constructed” – The Quietus
