For New Year’s Eve, The Dance and Something Goes Right return under the wonderful wooden beams of Ramsgate Music Hall for another All Night Long with Death In Vegas legend, Richard Fearless.
Expect his perfect journey through dub, post punk, acid house and techno over 5 glorious hours. His previous two outings at the venue have sold out super quickly so don’t sleep on getting your tickets for NYE.
Fearless began as a resident DJ at the Job Club in Soho London in the 1990’s, where he’d play alongside Claude Young, Derrick May, Dave Angel, and Andrew Weatherall. After a few years he was picked as a resident for the legendary Heavenly Social alongside Chemical Brothers where he stayed until the close of the club. Richard formed Death in Vegas in 1994 and has released 6 seminal albums and a plethora of underground hit singles with guest vocals from the likes of Iggy Pop, Bobby Gillespie, Dot Allison, Nicola Kuperus, Sasha Grey and Liam Gallagher.
While Fearless’ DJ sets and his Death in Vegas output have typically fallen into different genres, over the last few years he has begun to knit the two more closely together. Since 2014, Fearless has helmed his label as a vehicle not only for his own releases, spanning both Death in Vegas as well as his own raw studio sessions, but to put out music and remixes from artists such as Yoko Ono, Conny Plank, the Horrors, Legowelt, Rudolf Klorzieger, Daniel Avery, Gabe Gurnsey and Von Haze. His long time friendship with Daniel Avery resulted in a well received 12-inch on Drone as PSSU.
Whether Fearless is keeping the Sunday floor at Panorama Bar in full swing, playing a dub set at the Golden Pudel or going full pound during Drone nights at Tresor, Fearless’ sets are marked by his signature sound.
Richard is strictly vinyl, so let him take you on a trip down his record box rabbit hole.
THE DANCE has been created for the party people of Kent, so see you on the dancefloor.
