One of the greatest psychedelic rock bands on the planet right now – SLIFT will be bringing their feverish spaced-out jams to Ramsgate on September 6th!

For those who have seen Acid Mothers Temple here over the years, don’t sleep on this… it’s gonna sound HUGE!

“A dizzying journey beyond the stars”Louder Than War

Noticed from their first album (‘La Planète Inexplorée’, 2018), the boiling Toulouse trio SLIFT is back and will be released at the end of February 2020 ‘UMMON’, a double album that looks like a legendary fresco. Composed during endless tours across Europe in 2019, conceived as the soundtrack of an imaginary film; ‘UMMON’ is a dreamlike odyssey that features the Titans, their exile to the outer reaches of space in search of their creators, and the return of the Titan Hyperionon earth. Beyond the music and the text, which here take on a much heavier, darker and more cinematic turn than on the group’s previous releases, it is a question of “all these questions to which we will never have answers”, which dig their furrow in the hearts of men.

For lovers of guitars that smell of sulfur, Prog ‘from beyond the grave and Blup blip blop of old synthesizers. From Blitzkrieg fuzz and geyser free. A low escape from the dungeons of Minas Morgul and Nostromo battery running wildly. Vicious solos and murderous bends. From acid-showered Krautrock to cosmic jazz comics. There are distant echoes and daydreams, celestial choirs illuminating the space. Of repetition. Of repetition. Ancient voices, heavy metal and ancient alien rites. Abyssal doom and Apocalyptic noise. There is chaos. And there is silence” – SLIFT
