Glazyhaze are a band from Venice, influenced by shoegaze, dream pop, and alternative sounds, ranging from dark atmospheres to dreamy and ethereal soundscapes. The band consists of Irene (vocals, guitars), Lorenzo (lead guitar), Francesco (drums, programming), and Vsevolod (bass, vocals).

Since the release of the debut album “Just Fade Away” (2023), the band has been engaged in various promotional tours, performing in major cities across Europe and the UK. Glazyhaze release their second album, SONIC, on 21st March 2025.

Written and recorded between North-East Italy and London, produced, recorded, and mixed by Paolo Canaglia (New Candys, Nuovo Testamento) and mastered by Maurizio Baggio (Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon), the album delves into the complexities of love, narrating a journey of self-discovery and emotional contrasts. It is a more ambitious and mature record, characterised by a more personal sound and
songwriting, embracing shoegaze, bedroom pop, post-punk, and art-rock influences.

SONIC is divided into two parts: Side A offers light and bright melodies and atmospheres, while Side B ventures into introspective and nocturnal tones, with a deeper emotional intensity. Though distinct, the two halves are closely connected, aiming not to represent opposing extremes but rather two complementary aspects of the same experience—like two sides of a coin.

The album cover reflects this duality through the image of a lit match, symbolising the tension between light and shadow. A fleeting light balanced with inevitable darkness – this is the image Glazyhaze have chosen to represent the delicate yet profound nature of their record.

Visually, the album’s duality themes are embodied by its cover, which features a single matchstick. This image symbolises the fragile tension between light and shadow, a fleeting brightness in balance with the inevitable darkness, reflecting the delicate and profound nature of the record. Adding to their hands-on approach, the band self-produced all the music videos and album cover, working alongside
Cristiano Donadel, Luana Buttignol and Francesco Giacomin to bring their visual vision to life.

SONIC is independently released and globally distributed by Hoodooh, Believe Music, Goodfellas and Rough Trade. The band toured their album SONIC throughout the summer and fall of 2025 with over 40 gigs, delivering a live show defined by a powerful wall of sound, blending dreamy and melancholic atmospheres with bursts of raw punk energy. They supported the European tour of Canadian riot-gaze band Soft Cult, performing across major capitals, as well as joining selected European dates with Slow Crush, Lucy Kruger, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

The band was featured on Steve Lamacq’s show on BBC Radio 6, where their track “NIRVANA” was also aired. They were additionally picked up by Seattle’s iconic KEXP Radio, where the song went into rotation for several weeks and earned a spot on the station’s official playlist. Their music has also received airplay on national radio stations in Italy (Rai Radio 2), Germany, and Austria (FM4).
