Nick & June drift through a shimmering haze of reverb-soaked guitars, vibrating synths, and gently pulsing beats and drums. Their voices merge into a hypnotic mélange, guiding listeners through a delicate balance of euphorically staged restraint and intricate, winding thoughts. Their sound is an eclectic fusion of melancholic indie folk—evoking Bon Iver, Velvet Underground, and Big Thief—blended with the dream-pop textures of Beach House and Lana Del Rey, the alternative rock tones reminiscent of The National, St. Vincent, and Mazzy Star.

In the U.S., they collaborated with Grammy-winning producer Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Sharon Van Etten) to refine their signature sound—a blend of cinematic scope and intimate lo-fi textures. The result is an album that roams wide-open horizons while holding on to a fragile, radiant closeness. The songs unfold like Polaroids from inner landscapes—a meditation on resilience, transformation, and the bittersweet beauty of parting and renewal. For Nick & June, it is both: a personal opus magnum—and the beginning of a new era.

On New Year’s Face, a host of companions, friends, and idols from the international indie cosmos make appearances—among them The Antlers, Russian Red, Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire), Thomas Bartlett (Sufjan Stevens, St. Vincent), and Kyle Resnick and Ben Lanz of The National.

Following the worldwide success of their 2023 EP Beach Baby, Baby—along with 30 million streams, widespread praise in press and radio, and sold-out shows—the duo has firmly established themselves in the indie landscape. With their new album New Year’s Face in tow, Nick & June set out in 2026 on a far-reaching journey—through concert halls, clubs, and the glowing nights of cities around the world. A tour like a departure: melancholic, dreamy, shimmering with light and stories.
