Konformer emerged from the rhythm section of the Nuremberg post-punk band Genetiks in the mid-2000s. Initially, Andreas Berg (drums) and Rainer Ruder (bass) only played for their own sake and with changing guest musicians. On 13 June 2013, Kristian Krauss (keyboards) joined them and shortly afterwards they called themselves Konformer. Without haste and in complete privacy, Konformer developed their own sound over the years, which is essentially based on bass loops.
After countless improvisation sessions, the first lasting piece Konformer was created in 2016, followed by further pieces, which were finally recorded in March 2022 at Frank Mollena’s Lonestar Studios in Nuremberg. Jason Boardman released these a year later on his label Before i Die as BiD005. Despite their long existence, Konformer only made their live debut on 29 April 2023 at Z-Bau in Nuremberg. This was followed by further concerts, a (short) UK-Tour in 2024, and the release of the second album on Before I Die in 2026.

For Microfilm it is indeed a pleasure to return again to the legendary Ramsgate Music Hall were we have had the pleasure of performing a couple of times and this gig is a return match with the evokative Konformer -… bringen auf ! WE are but a duo merging together after crossing paths in other projects ( myself Free Range Orchestra & alt rave rock electro ! – Aurora ( now Aura ) who frequented many a smaller festival ,party around South coast and west country since early noughties nuff said And as for Mark Bandola well he of Ramsgate Hovercraft , The Lucy Show and collaborator with local legend Adrian Sherwood — what’s not to get in this hybrid fusion of sonic electronic pulses !
Crafting our sound and influences from ambient / industrial / pysch and naturally Cosmic experiments we hope you;ll be transported thru mood emotion and occasional boogie . Microfilm are have almost completed their third album after the well received “True North Varies” and aim to release on vinyl as well as via Bandcamp or hoping for a small record company release

Nick Bonell makes music under the alias Lone Bison. Nick has released music via Polytechnic Youth and Castles in Space. Lone Bison records owe a debt to German bands like Cluster, Neu and early Kraftwerk but there is also a dose of pop and indie noise too. There are not one but two albums coming out through Castles in Space this autumn.
