Edging is a Chicago five-piece that proves good sax and hardcore punk are a match made in basement. Since being on the cover of the Chicago reader they’ve evolved from a wild DIY secret into a polished, high-velocity force. Led by the magnetic screaming and yelping of vocalist Faith Callaway. The band’s sound is defined y searing sax, fuzzy riffs, and a rhythm section that sounds like it’s constantly trying to outrun itself.
Their sophomore album ‘Concrete Cumming’ (April 2024), was recorder live in Philly with Evan Bernard and mastered by Grammy-winner Howie Weinberg-capturing the ‘nervous jitters’ of their legendary live shows where Callaway is known to dive into the crowd, scream in faces, and follow it up with a grin.
