A night of deep, underground energy and cutting-edge sounds, headlined by none other than Jon Dasilva – one of the true pioneers of the UK House and Techno scene.
A 4-hour journey through sound from one of the greats, supported by Likeminded Music taking control of Room 2 with their trademark underground vibes.
With a career spanning four decades, Jon Dasilva was one of the musical driving forces at Manchester’s legendary Fac 51 The Hacienda – the birthplace of the British House and Techno explosion.
Voted #25 in Iconic Magazine’s All-Time Top 50 DJs, Jon’s unique and innovative approach to DJing helped define an era, earning him a cult following and global respect. Mixing House, Acid, Disco, Breaks and Techno with effects, a cappellas and experimental sounds, his sets were lightyears ahead of their time.
Sasha credits Dasilva as his biggest influence, describing his set-building and creative use of sound as “mind-blowing.” Jon’s early Hacienda warm-ups – mixing Dub Reggae, Latin, Post Punk and BBC sound FX – became the unlikely blueprint for the emerging Balearic movement.
From illegal raves and Superclubs like Cream and Renaissance, to being the first UK DJ to play at Berlin’s Tresor and the first British artist booked to tour China – Dasilva was there before almost anyone else.
Still relentlessly digging for new sounds, Jon has continued to release forward-thinking music across seminal labels like Soma, Ellum Audio, Rush Hour, Better Days, Mute, and I Love Acid, where he’s a regular resident alongside Posthuman.
